Physician - Cardiologist

About the Role

University of Maryland Capital Region Health (UM Capital) is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiologist to join our growing Heart & Vascular team in Largo, Maryland. This is an exciting opportunity for a cardiologist who wants to build a meaningful practice while joining a collaborative, multidisciplinary team backed by the resources and clinical expertise of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS).

At UM Capital, you'll practice in a modern, patient-focused environment serving a diverse and growing community in Prince George's County—all while being conveniently located just outside Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of cardiovascular conditions
• Collaborate closely with cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular, primary care, and other specialty teams
• Access advanced cardiac diagnostic and treatment capabilities
• Practice within a state-of-the-art regional medical center
• Work with a diverse patient population and make a meaningful impact on cardiovascular health in the community
• Participate in the continued development and growth of cardiovascular services at UM Capital

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
• Eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license
• Eligible for medical staff privileges
• Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to patient-centered, collaborative care
