Physician

Responsibilities

• See patients in the practice and coordinate their care
• See patients in the hospital/ER
• Manage emergencies - both on site and via phone
• Telephone triage and supportive care
• Serve as a mentor and role model for the RN staff in the cancer center
• Aid in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
• Provide staff education and participate in community outreach
• Participate in accreditation activities and institutional committees
• Maintain compliance with the survivorship program for both campuses
• Assist with inpatient responsibilities including initial evaluation, follow up, collaboration with the Hospitalist team, and coordinating inpatient treatment, as well as outpatient follow-up and treatment
• Perform other activities as designated by the medical director

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited university
• New York Medical License Board eligible or board certified in hematology/oncology
• Committed to Bon Secours Medical Group and the communities we serve
• Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
