Job Summary

The health system is committed to attracting and retaining the very best professionals. This position provides leadership and medical direction for the Palliative Care Department and staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine with no restrictions.
• Staff physician of St. Tammany Health System.
• Palliative Care Fellowship completed, Board Certified Palliative Care Physician preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through any ILCOR provided courses.
• A valid and current state issued driver’s license.
• Maintain and provide proof of automobile insurance (at own expense).

Physical Demands

• Must possess good physical health.
• Standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.
• Lifting at least 50 pounds.
• Work with a moderate level of noise.
