Job Description

The Primary Care Physician provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to adult and/or family medicine patients in a collaborative care center setting. This role emphasizes preventive care, chronic condition management, and whole-person health—without productivity quotas tied to volume. Spira Care is redefining primary care by placing the focus back where it belongs—on patients and physicians.

Spira Care is a value-based primary care model designed to improve health outcomes, enhance the patient experience, and restore joy in practicing medicine. Physicians partner closely with care teams to proactively manage patient health, reduce unnecessary utilization, and create meaningful, long-term patient relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active or eligible for medical licensure in Missouri and/or Kansas
• DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Maintain licensures and certifications throughout employment
• Passion for value-based care and team-based practice
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered mindset
