PHYSICIAN

About the role

The Physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and injuries in a Family Practice model setting; provides comprehensive, outpatient medical services for individuals and families on a continuing basis. Responsible for Medical Assistant (MA) clinical supervision and continuing verification of the MA’s clinical skills competency. Additionally, at certain sites, the physician is responsible for dispensing pharmaceuticals from the clinic dispensary; may serve as lab director for CLIA waived tests performed in the clinic.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and injuries in a Family Practice model setting.
• Provide comprehensive, outpatient medical services for individuals and families on a continuing basis.
• Supervise Medical Assistant (MA) clinical work and verify MA’s clinical skills competency.
• At certain sites, dispense pharmaceuticals from the clinic dispensary.
• May serve as lab director for CLIA waived tests performed in the clinic.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified in a specific medical specialty or Board Eligible (completed residency).
• Must be licensed in the State of Nevada.
