Responsibilities
- Spending scheduled time in the clinic providing compassionate patient care.
- Completing documentation of patient encounters as per guidelines.
- Returning patient calls in a timely manner.
- Reviewing patient medical records, tests, and study results to make recommendations for treatment options, including appropriateness of second opinions for patients requesting such service.
- Utilizing the latest medical services to develop treatment plans based on scientific evidence.
- Following evidence-based treatment guidelines.
- Completing medical records in a timely manner.
- Developing care protocols necessary for basic health assessments and initiating appropriate care.
- Acting as a resource for worker's compensation, disability management, risk management, and other groups addressing concerns related to injury and illness prevention or treatment, including providing investigative support and problem resolution.
- Acting as a resource to individuals involved in the administration of the HonorHealth Employee Assistance Program.
- Participating in the development of referral procedures and/or contracts with physicians and other healthcare providers for services beyond the scope of HonorHealth's program.
- Communicating with primary and referring physicians.
- Demonstrating behaviors that reflect a commitment to continuous professional development and consistency with ethics.
- Demonstrating an understanding and sensitivity to diversity.
- Respecting confidentiality including HIPAA regulations.
- Adhering to all institutional and regulatory guidelines, participating in and providing appropriate training of staff, and engaging in activities and initiatives designed to provide the highest quality patient care.
- Interacting effectively and professionally with clinic staff.
Qualifications
- Doctorate M.D. or D.O required.
- Other member of the Medical Staff.
- Board certified or eligible.
- Arizona State licensure or other compact state Medical license upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPC) certificate required, obtainable within seven (7) working days after employment.
