About the Role

The Staff Physician provides direct patient care to ensure patient healthcare needs are met in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings, develops treatment plans, and assesses patient response to treatment.
• Delivers high-quality care to patients on an on-call basis and in rotation with other physicians to ensure continuous patient healthcare needs are met.
• Investigates new techniques, practices, and equipment to maximize the quality and efficiency of healthcare services.
• Assists in developing and implementing continuous quality improvement programs and participates in multi-disciplinary quality improvement efforts.
• Ensures all services are performed with compassion, understanding, and respect for others.
• Applies the hospital’s mission, philosophy, and policies to promote high-quality healthcare services and departmental effectiveness.
• Stays current with the latest trends in the field through seminars, workshops, conferences, and professional affiliations to enhance personal performance.
• Collaborates with other physicians to ensure high-quality medical care and advanced healthcare services.
• Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, and training sessions to share expertise and support the growth of new personnel, volunteers, and students.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
• Current unrestricted Mississippi Medical License.
