Physician

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Board-Certified/Board Eligible Physician in Sacramento, California. Specialties considered include PM&R, Orthopedic Spine, and Neuro-Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Treats injured workers and commercial and Medicare patients as a primary treating physician.
• Communicates with insurance agents for utilization reviews and authorization requests.
• Provides comprehensive chronic pain care including medication management and lifestyle/dietary advice.
• Evaluates patients with a multidisciplinary team and recommends appropriate care programs or referrals.
• Analyzes reports, test results, and medical records to diagnose conditions and propose treatment options.
• Ensures patient confidentiality and complies with health information privacy laws.
• Maintains accurate and timely medical records.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice medicine in California.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in relevant specialty.
• Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing.
• Personable and proficient in relationship building.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. degree.
• Experience in comprehensive chronic pain care.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and insurance agents.
• Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
• Compliance with safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Skills

• Effective communication skills.
• Strong diagnostic and treatment planning abilities.
• Proficiency in medication management and patient education.
• Experience with multidisciplinary team evaluations.

Pay

Compensation range: $275,000 to $400,000 annually (plus productivity bonuses and incentives).

Schedule

Clinic hours: Monday through Friday, no weekends.
