Physician Associate- General Surgery
About the role
Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking an experienced General Surgery Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner to join their established General Surgery team in Astoria, Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive surgical care at a 25-bed critical access hospital.
- Collaborate with dedicated clinic days and OR block time.
- Work in a busy, rural general surgery practice with a variety of cases.
- See new, follow-up, and pre/post consultations.
- Collaborate with multiple surgeons who love teaching.
- Practice a Monday through Friday schedule with up to 10 days of call per month.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of surgical PA/NP experience.
- Active, unrestricted Oregon Physician Associate/Nurse Practitioner license.
- Active unrestricted DEA Certificate.
- American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification.
Qualifications
- Master’s or baccalaureate degree and completion of an ARCA-PA approved program.
- Current NCCPA certification.
- Active, unrestricted Oregon Physician Associate license (for Physician Associates).
- Master’s, post-master’s, or doctorate degree in a nurse practitioner program accredited by CCNE or ACEN (for Nurse Practitioners).
