Physician Assistant - Radiology

About the role

Seeking a Physician Assistant with Interventional Radiology experience to collaborate with neurointerventional radiologists, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient patient care.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the primary contact for referring providers, nurses, and patients
• Performing initial patient assessments, drafting histories and physicals (H&Ps), and writing pre-procedure orders
• Assisting radiologists with procedures and performing minor image-guided interventions such as vascular access and biopsies
• Conducting post-procedure rounds, managing patient discharges, and providing outpatient follow-up
• Conducting outpatient consultations, follow-up visits, and phone calls post-procedure or inpatient stay
• Serving as a liaison between clinicians and patients, representing the practice
• Assisting in research patient identification according to protocols

Qualifications & Skills

• Radiology experience required
• Independent motivation, enjoy direct patient contact, clinical proficiency in inpatient and outpatient care
• Must have ACLS certification and appropriate state licensure
• Preferred experience in neuro, critical care, ER, or surgical patient care
