Physician Assistant (Psychiatry)

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid) | Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099) | 30-40 hours per week

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) with a background in psychiatry to join a well-established outpatient mental health practice. The provider will treat patients ages 6 through geriatric in a collaborative, supportive environment with a flexible hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations and follow-up care.
• Diagnose and manage mental health conditions across the lifespan.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Active Physician Assistant license in New York.
• Minimum 2 years of outpatient psychiatry experience.
• Active malpractice insurance.
• Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.

Schedule

• Hybrid model (Telehealth and in-office).
• 30-40 hours per week.
• Full administrative support, including scheduling, billing, collections, furnished office space, equipment, and clinical support.
