About the Role
Central Valley Doctors Health System and Doctor's Medical Center of Modesto are seeking a dedicated and motivated Physician Assistant to join our Plastic Surgery team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in both clinic and surgical practice settings.

- NP or PA licensure in California

Responsibilities
- Under the direction of a physician, provides direct patient care including gathering detailed history and performing physical exams.
- Performs or orders tests and interprets results.
- Administers therapeutic procedures as directed.
- Instructs on care and maintains written charts and records on patients.
- Maintains appropriate manual and electronic records (EMR).
- Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
- Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
- Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures that affect job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Provides physician assistant services to patients as directed by the physician’s patient care plan and supervised by the physician.
- Ensures completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with TPR policy.
- Fulfills all duties assigned by the physician.
- Reports to the attending physician any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment.
- Participates in patient review conferences and staffing.
- Assists the physician in activities such as Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, and Safety Committee activities.
- Adheres to the established policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
- Orders and interprets the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.
- Performs and oversees testing and other appropriate procedures.
- Conducts health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, enabling the client to make informed choices about health and treatment options.
- Provides consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory, and clinic assistant staff.
- Orders medications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Certifications
- Required: Graduate of an accredited PA program
- Required: PA licensure; DEA eligible
- Additional certification(s) per governing board and in accordance with the facility Medical Staff Bylaws
Pay
$110,240 - $176,800
**Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
