Physician Assistant - Pee Dee Surgical - Day Shift

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not-for-profit organization supported by more than 900 medical staff members and over 2,900 licensed nurses. The system includes approximately 15,000 team members and over 90 physician practices across an 18-county service area. McLeod Health operates seven hospitals, three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice, and Home Health Services, with a total of 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Assesses needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
- Records physical findings and formulates plans and prognosis based on patient's condition.
- Plans, implements, and coordinates care to meet the holistic age-specific needs of patients.
- Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.
- Demonstrates professionalism and integrity.
- Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.
- Discusses cases with physicians and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plans.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
- State of South Carolina Certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply.
