Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Summary
Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their Urgent Care team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with other care providers to deliver premium care to patients, providing services such as medical, orthopedic, and minor surgical care, as well as physical examinations and laboratory services.
Compensation
We are committed to providing competitive compensation. The wage range for this position is $54.03–$76.27 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, education, licensure, and internal equity considerations.
Key Accountabilities
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
Order x-rays and labs to assist in evaluating and diagnosing illnesses and injuries
Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
Qualifications
Physician Assistant:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Physician Assistant License from the MN State Board of Medical Practice, in good standing
- Certified as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA
- Minimum of one year experience in acute care, family practice, emergency medicine or urgent care
Nurse Practitioner:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current RN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing, in good standing
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Minnesota
- Minimum of one year experience in acute care, family practice, emergency medicine or urgent care
Schedule
- Weekdays: 8:30am - 8:00pm, 8:30am - 4:30pm or 12:00pm - 8:00pm
- Every fourth weekend: 8:30am or 9:00am - 1:00pm or 4:00pm
- Some minor holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas Eve)
- Closed on major holidays (Easter, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day)
