About the Role
QuarterLine (QL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join the Occupational Medical Services healthcare team at Tinker Air Force Base, OK. The selected candidate will provide primary and specialty medical care in a Department of Defense (DoD) clinical environment, supporting mission readiness and high-quality care for service members and eligible patient populations.
Duty Location: Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. No telework allowed.
Schedule
Duty Hours: Monday - Friday, 0700 - 1600. No overtime, no holiday work required.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary or specialty medical care under the cognizance or supervision of a physician.
- Manage a regularly appointed clinic and evaluate emergent medical problems.
- Collect and record medical and social historical data appropriate to the patient's condition.
- Perform general physical examinations.
- Serve as the primary care manager (PCM) for a panel of patients, including:
- Examination of patients and formulation of differential diagnostic plans.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing.
- Implementing treatment plans and determining the need for specialist consultations.
- Approving or disapproving subspecialty referrals.
- Answering patient telephone consults with clinic staff assistance.
- Providing primary and secondary preventive maintenance care.
- Recognize complex cases, initiate treatment (if appropriate), and refer to higher-level medical expertise.
- Plan and initiate proper treatment within defined privileges and facility scope of practice.
- Identify and report cases with public health significance and implement control measures.
- Clearly communicate findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans to other health personnel.
- Stabilize and manage patients in medical or surgical emergencies and arrange for evacuation if needed.
- Perform medical procedures, including:
- Digital, local infiltration, and intercostal nerve blocks.
- Urological procedures.
- Maintain inpatient and outpatient medical records in accordance with Military Treatment Facility (MTF) procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant Training Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors, acceptable to the Surgeon General, USAF.
- Minimum of two (2) years of physician assistant experience within the past three (3) years.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Current, valid, unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross (in-person certification required; online courses are not acceptable).
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) or Military Treatment Facility (MTF) environment.
- Experience in occupational medicine, primary care, or ambulatory care settings.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and military healthcare operations.

- Must comply with occupational health requirements, including physical examinations, tuberculosis screening, and immunizations/vaccinations.
