Physician Assistant - Ortho Trauma - Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in the Emergency Department, the OR, and the Inpatient Units including total joint arthroplasty, sports medicine, hand, spine, foot & ankle, pediatric, and orthopedic trauma patients.
• Admission H&Ps, Consultations, Rounding, discharging, and first/second assisting in the OR.
• Perform bedside procedures including independent reductions, splinting, casting, arthrocentesis, nailbed repair, etc.

Requirements

• Must have experience doing orthopedic trauma cases.
• CT Physician Assistant License required upon hire.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.

Qualifications

The right incumbent will bring several years of OR (first assist) experience.

Schedule

Rotating days/nights/weekends with emphasize on weekend day shift from 6a-6p. Minimum 1 shift per month.
