About the role

Medcor is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work on a PRN (as-needed) basis in our employer-based clinic located in a modern, global pharma facility in Myerstown, PA. This role focuses on occupational health and acute/episodic care within an on-site clinic environment.

Schedule

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This is an as-needed position with no guaranteed hours, though flexibility for additional hours with advanced notice is preferred. No weekend or on-call hours are required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior clinical care and customer service to Medcor’s client and employees.
  • Treat injuries and illnesses following Evidence-Based Medicine standards.
  • Diagnose and manage workers' compensation injuries and illnesses, urgent care, surveillance and regulatory exams, and preventive services.
  • Collaborate with Medcor’s medical and operational leadership, advocates, and client corporate contacts.
  • Work closely with on-site medical staff and a Medcor-employed oversight physician.
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships and collaborate with client professionals in health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Support client wellness and preventive programs.
  • Document and manage patient information using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools.
  • Provide patient education regarding medical conditions, treatment options, and healthy behaviors.

Requirements

  • Valid, unrestricted Pennsylvania licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current DEA and BLS certifications.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR software.
  • Positive, outgoing personality with a collaborative team-player approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients, clients, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service and going above and beyond.
  • Comfortable working in an on-site clinic environment.
  • Occupational health experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous work-site clinic experience.
