Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - PRN

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Spending 100% of time in the onsite clinic providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
• Ensuring day-to-day execution of Concentra's clinical model, collaborating with members of the healthcare team to drive optimal clinical outcomes.
• Maintaining key onsite clinic metrics that relate to quality outcomes, including chronic condition management, preventive health, and age-appropriate screenings.
• Providing direct patient care through compilation of the medical history, conducting the physical exam, diagnosing, and developing appropriate treatment plans.
• Administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
• Maintaining timely, accurate, and detailed patient records and paperwork.
• Interpreting diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
• Performing therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care, and managing infections.
• Instructing and counseling patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
• Assisting in the development, implementation, and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of clinical care.
• Assisting in the development and presentation of education and instructional programs.
• Providing excellent and compassionate customer service to all patients, clients, and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.

Education/Credentials

• Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
• Major: Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
• Education Details: Bachelors’ degree in related health field from an accredited college or university.
• Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program).
• Certifications and/or Licenses: Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE); Current licensed physician assistant in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice.
• Maintain work state physician assistant licensure throughout the course of employment.

Experience

• No Continuing education is required to maintain license and to perform job: Yes
• Customarily has at least the following experience: 3 years
• Customarily has at least three years of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care or an emergency setting.
