About the role

The UCHealth Medical Group and the UCHealth Internal Medicine Clinic in Longmont, CO are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, interested in full-time work, and focused on excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care in accordance with medical standards and protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results.
  • Prescribe medications and manage patient medication regimens.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely.
  • Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities.

Requirements

  • Required 2-3 years' internal medicine experience.
  • Experience in women's care preferred.
  • Epic EMR is utilized system-wide.

Qualifications

  • For Physician Assistants:
    • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
    • Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado.
    • PA-C certification issued by the NCCPA.
    • Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications.
    • Eligible for Medicare and Medicaid provider status.
    • Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • For Nurse Practitioners:
    • Full or provisional prescriptive authority eligibility.
    • Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
    • Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by ANCC or AANPCB.
    • Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
    • Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges.
    • Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications.
    • Eligible for Medicare and Medicaid provider status.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

  • Average annual salary range of $110,577 - $144,966.
