About the role

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established, comprehensive Heart & Vascular Center at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. The position will be in General Cardiology.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiovascular conditions under the supervision of licensed physicians.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide clinical decision-making.
  • Provide education to patients and families about their health conditions and treatment options.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Washington State.
  • Experience in cardiology preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Active registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Washington State.
  • Passing scores on relevant national certification exams (NP-C, PA-C).

Skills

  • Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

Pay

Starting salary based on years of experience: $148,678 - $177,819.
