Schedule

  • Part-time: minimum 4 shifts per month
  • 12-hour shifts during clinic hours (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM), seven days a week
  • Occasional weekend and holiday shifts required
  • Monthly schedules released in advance

About the role

We are seeking a Part-Time clinician to join our team in Lincoln, NE. This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
  • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
  • Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)
  • Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
  • Code and bill services appropriately
  • Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
  • Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Nebraska license
  • Board certification as applicable:
    • PA: NCCPA certification
    • NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)
  • Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to treat patients of all ages
  • Active BLS certification
  • EHR proficiency
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
  • DOT certification highly desired (fees covered)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
  • Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
  • Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
