Physician Assistant - OB/GYN Surgical First Assist
About the role
MultiCare Health System is seeking an experienced Surgical First Assist Physician Assistant to join their skilled Women's Careline team. This role offers exposure to high-volume, diverse case mix, strong physician partnerships, and the opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, respected surgical program in a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provides surgical first assist in the operating room and may include rounding on patients pre and post-operatively.
- Documents all patient interactions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) inclusive of direct patient encounters and asynchronous care.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborates with surgeon and OR care team throughout surgical case.
- Completes peri-operative and quality improvement tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of accredited PA-C program
- Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
- Maintain active PA-C licensure throughout employment
- DEA, NPI & Prescriptive authority
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefits
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. The pay scale is $174,300.00 - $189,000.00 USD. Associated benefit information can be viewed here.
