Job Summary

Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner cares for patients under the supervision of the Medical Director, working collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order appropriate laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals to appropriate health care facilities, agencies, and resources
• Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, management, and treatment
• Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and promotion to patients/family/significant others
• Implement emergency measures and treatment in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
• Professional appearance and attitude
• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified (with 1 yr ER/UC/FP experience preferred)
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of New Jersey, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
• Able to multi-task and work independently

Compensation

$62.00 - $68.00 per hour
