Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Neurosurgery

About the role

The Neuroscience Institute is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join the Neurosurgery team at a medical center in Danville, PA. The PA or NP will primarily manage outpatient clinics, share and conduct independent clinics, with weekly inpatient and consultation coverage on a rotating schedule. They will have primary operating room coverage on Fridays and as needed Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Manage outpatient clinics and share clinic responsibilities
• Conduct independent clinics
• Provide weekly inpatient and consultation coverage on a rotating schedule
• Have primary operating room coverage on Fridays and as needed Monday through Thursday

Requirements

• Completed an ARC-PA approved PA program
• NCCPA certification or eligibility
• PA licensure in Pennsylvania
• Nurse practitioners need a master's degree
• Current certification or eligibility
• PA licensure in PA

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in neurosurgical settings preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR)
