Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Fellowship
Salary: $90,000 annually with a $10,000 signing bonus for qualified Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
About the Role
WellNow Urgent Care offers a 9-month Urgent Care Fellowship program designed to provide enhanced clinical experience in Urgent Care Medicine. Fellows will receive one-on-one preceptorship with Urgent Care Clinical Faculty, hands-on patient care, and ongoing lectures guided by a structured didactic curriculum. The program aims to train fellows to become proficient in WellNow’s core competencies and prepare them for success in a fast-paced Urgent Care environment.

Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with Urgent Care teams under the mentorship of experienced NPs/PAs to provide care for patients of all ages with acute illnesses, injuries, or exacerbations of chronic disease.
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients, ordering evidence-based testing, prescribing medications, and referring to outside specialists as required.
- Provide occupational medicine services, including DOT exams and treatment of Worker’s Compensation injuries.
- Perform pre-participation physicals for camps, sports, and employment.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient charts.
- Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited PA or FNP program.
- Physician Assistants must have active board certification with NCCPA.
- Family Nurse Practitioners must have active board certification with AANP or ANCC.
- Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner in the state where you are applying is required.
- Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness, customer relation skills, and computer competence.
- Active desire to learn and grow in the field of Urgent Care.
