Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in line with clinical protocols.
  • Monitor therapeutic interventions and patient progress.
  • Offer counseling and education on medical aspects of treatment.
  • Cookordination care with healthcare providers and make referrals as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with medical quality standards and regulations.
  • Attend treatment team meetings and training seminars.
  • Maintain current knowledge of drug abuse trends and treatment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Assist nursing team and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid Physician Assistant license in the state of employment.
  • Current DEA license and documentation of renewal.
  • Experience or understanding of chemical addiction preferred.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and efficient work ethic.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in basic computing and data entry.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures.

Physical Demands And Working Conditions

  • Adequate speaking, hearing, and vision abilities.
  • Prolonged standing, bending, and keyboarding.
  • Variable workload with periodic high stress.
  • Standard medical office conditions and patient interactions.
  • Use of protective equipment may be required.
