Physician Assistant - Gastroenterology

About the role

A Physician Assistant (PA-C) is sought to join a growing Gastroenterology Clinic on a hospital campus in Portland, Oregon. This full-time position involves primarily outpatient clinic duties, with limited inpatient on-call support and no call obligations. The PA will collaborate within a team of 4 Gastroenterologists and 2 Physician Assistants, contributing to the expansion of a high-functioning GI service line.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient GI consults and perform rounding
• Conduct outpatient clinic visits and follow-up appointments
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure patient care
• Coordinate care with hospitalists, surgeons, and primary care teams
• Participate in quality initiatives and service line development

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible Physician Assistant
• Open to new graduates

Skills

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Interest in Gastroenterology; experience preferred but not required
• Motivated to grow within an expanding specialty program
