About the role

Teaches in the didactic and clinical phases of the Masters of Science Physician Assistant Program (MSPAS) curriculum.

Participates in scholarship and service activities as indicated in university and department policies.

Develops, implements, and evaluates new instructional experiences and MSPAS entry-level curriculum.

Participates in all aspects of ongoing program assessment and complies with Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) Standards.

Develops individualized learning objectives and competencies required for the successful completion of the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE).

Responsibilities

  • Works in face-to-face and online teaching environment
  • Knowledge of computer-based academic delivery systems
  • Works with an ethnically diverse student body
  • Strong communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates honesty, integrity and commitment to maintaining high professional standards
  • Works as a member of a team of highly motivated and experienced individuals
  • Attends a PAEA or PANDO workshop for faculty development

Requirements

  • Master's degree from a Physician Assistant Program or related higher education field
  • At least one peer reviewed publication while as Instructor
  • 3+ years of clinical experience
  • Experience teaching at the graduate level
  • Physician Assistant (PA)
  • National Commission of Certification of PA's (NCCPA)

Schedule

This position is fully in-person. 4 days in the office and 1 clinical day/scholarly development day. Year round.

Pay

$60,151.66 - $123,073.07
