Physician Assistant - Dassel Clinic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures the plan of care for the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations reflect: an understanding and ability to obtain information/perform assessment and react effectively to the unique needs of these patients;
- Assessment information that reflects physical, psychosocial, developmental and cognitive data specific to the age of the patient;
- An understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
- Provides scheduled primary care efficiently and accurately.
- Provides ongoing patient education and counseling.
- Treats acute care problems efficiently and accurately resulting in patient satisfaction.
- Provides timely chart documentation that is accurate and thorough.
- Orders labs, x-rays, and diagnostic tests to facilitate the correct diagnosis in a cost efficient manner.
- Determines when a patient’s problem is serious enough to seek advice from a physician and subsequently contacts a physician to discuss patient’s care.
- Participates in community health programs which promote wellness and health education.
- Works closely with Hutchinson Health’s occupational health services to promote health and safety in local business and industry.
- Participates in an active public relations program which promotes Hutchinson Health.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
