Physician Assistant - CVICU - Locum Tenens

About the role

This is a Physician Assistant position specializing in Cardiovascular ICU in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Performing ICU rounds
• Managing patients pre- and post-cardiac surgery, including those coming off ventilators and from OR with open hearts, VATS, and lung procedures
• Handling an average of 10-15 patients at a time

Qualifications

• Texas License
• Experience with post-operative cardiac patients and ICU care

Skills

• Proficiency in ICU management
• Postoperative cardiac care
• EMR systems (EPIC)

Key Duties

• Providing patient care during day and night shifts
• Assisting with complex cardiac cases
• Ensuring optimal patient outcomes

Additional Info

Experience in a Level I Trauma facility is preferred. Travel arrangements, credentialing, and malpractice coverage are provided by the staffing agency.
