About the role
Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiovascular ICU in an inpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ICU rounding
- Manage patients pre- and post-cardiac surgery
- Care for patients coming off ventilators
- Handle patients emerging from OR with open hearts, VATS, and lung procedures
- Typically overseeing 10-15 patients simultaneously
- Provide acute care in a Level I Trauma facility, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in complex cardiovascular cases
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Texas license
- Experience with post-op cardiac patients
- ICU expertise
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
