Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic

About the role

Seeking a physician assistant specialized in cardiothoracic surgery to support CVICU care and first assist duties in the operating room within an established cardiothoracic practice. Located in a charming coastal city known for history, art, and southern hospitality. Work in a Level I trauma regional referral center with advanced facilities and medical education programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the CVICU and the OR during surgeries
• Perform cardiology consults
• Participate in ICU coverage, including weekday shifts and occasional weekend morning rounds
• Support cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• Provide critical care in the ICU setting
• Engage in patient consultations and perioperative care

Qualifications

• Board Certified, with preferred experience
• Ability to obtain GA license and start upon credentialing
• Ability to work with a team of 3 cardiothoracic surgeons and 4 APPs
