About the role
Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Physician Assistant, providing comprehensive primary care to Veterans under the supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities
- Conducting patient histories, exams, diagnoses, and treatments for new and follow-up visits.
- Managing lab orders, interpreting results, and adjusting care plans accordingly.
- Initiating and managing medications, performing EKGs, and recommending follow-up care.
- Documenting patient encounters using SOAP format and ensuring compliance with Clinical Reminders.
- Supporting patient access through various visit types including face-to-face, group, phone, and secure messaging.
- Coordinating care between specialty, surgical, mental health, extended care, and community services.
- Driving performance excellence in patient outcomes, access, quality, and resource utilization.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
- Ability to perform patient evaluations, manage treatments, and coordinate care effectively.
- Strong documentation skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
