Physician Assistant

About the role

Work with the collaborating physician in an active inpatient practice to deliver health care services to patients. Consult with the collaborating physician by telecommunication or in person as needed. In the absence of the designated collaborating physician, another physician shall be available for consultation.

Location: Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn, IL

Responsibilities

• Work with the collaborating physician in an active inpatient and outpatient practice to deliver health care services
• Diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health problems
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic treatment and monitor the effectiveness of interventions
• Order, interpret, and perform laboratory and radiology tests
• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, to the extent delegated
• Perform other therapeutic or corrective measures as indicated

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school
• Current IL PA license
• Two years’ experience, preferably in an infectious disease field
• Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19)

Schedule

Full-Time (Monday-Friday) + One Weekend/Month

Pay

$110,000-$120,000 ($85K base salary + monthly incentive)
