Physician Assistant

Exciting full‑time Physician Assistant opportunity in Pelham, Alabama with KidsStreet Urgent Care. You will provide patient‑focused care in a high‑volume, fast‑paced urgent care environment, serving babies, children, adults, and geriatric patients across urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The role includes leadership of a small team of medical assistants and extensive support through orientation, training, a complimentary pediatric urgent‑care CE course, and on‑call NP assistance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common illnesses such as colds, flu, strep, COVID‑19, and other upper respiratory issues.
• Perform minor procedures (e.g., toenail removal, foreign object removal).
• Suture wounds and provide splinting.
• Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
• Review x‑rays (over‑read by a radiologist).
• Provide general dermatology care.
• Address general eye problems.
• Interpret basic EKGs.
• Manage emergency situations.
• Offer general gynecologic expertise.
• Treat children of all ages.
• Deliver occupational medicine services.
• Provide telemedicine consultations.

Schedule

KidsStreet Clinic operates extended hours, 7 days a week:

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Rotating schedule includes every other weekend. Sample two‑week rotation:

• Week 1 – On: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun; Off: Wed, Thu.
• Week 2 – On: Wed, Thu; Off: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
• MSN or higher education required (new graduates welcome).
• DOT certification required or willingness to become DOT certified (cost covered).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office suite (preferred).
