Physician Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including detailed patient histories and mental status examinations.
• Prescribe medications and manage medication regimens for psychiatric patients, ensuring appropriate followup and care.
• Provide followup care in 15minute appointments, addressing any medication adjustments, side effects, and progress.
• Handle 30minute transfer appointments, facilitating smooth transitions of care for patients referred to our practice.
• Conduct comprehensive 45minute intake appointments, gathering essential patient information for effective treatment planning.
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, therapists, and medical support staff, to provide optimal patient care.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with practice policies and HIPAA guidelines.
• Collaborate with the medical team to adjust treatment plans as necessary and provide ongoing patient support.

Qualifications

• PAC (Physician Assistant) Certified
• MUST BE IN NEW YORK
• MUST SEE KIDS 5+
• Minimum of 23 years of experience in psychiatric care or related field, including prescription writing.
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and evidence-based practices.
• Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume environment with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills with a genuine desire to work with diverse patient populations.
