About the role

The Physician Assistant provides primary care services to a full spectrum of patients—from infant to elderly—within the scope of their training and abilities. This includes health screening, health promotion, illness and disability prevention, acute illness care, and management of stable chronic conditions.

The Physician Assistant develops a collaborative relationship with the supervising physician and performs defined procedures for which they have been appropriately trained, such as removal of foreign bodies, suturing, repair of lacerations, and limited biopsies.
