Physician and Medical Director – Barrett’s Esophagus Program

About the role

The Jefferson Digestive Health Institute offers comprehensive services in gastroenterology and hepatology, including diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, motility, and liver transplantation. The position is based in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Barrett’s Esophagus Program
• Manage a large cohort of patients across all stages of Barrett’s care
• Utilize advanced imaging and therapeutic technologies including RFA, APC, EMR, and cryotherapy
• Drive clinical research and innovation in Barrett’s Esophagus
• Mentor fellows and residents, contributing to Jefferson’s academic mission

Qualifications

• Board certification in Gastroenterology
• Completed a Barrett’s Esophagus Fellowship
• Demonstrated expertise in advanced endoscopic imaging and therapies
• Strong interest in teaching, mentoring, and academic collaboration
• Proven leadership skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and research
