West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry seek an Addiction Psychiatrist at Healthy Minds Chestnut Ridge in Morgantown, WV.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligibility for state medical licensure
- Completed psychiatry residency and addiction psychiatry fellowship
- Board certified/eligible in addiction psychiatry
Duties
The successful candidate will practice in the area of addiction psychiatry. They will provide excellent patient care, teach medical students and residents, and fellows in addiction medicine and psychiatry fellowships. They will also be involved in the medically managed withdrawal stabilization and residential treatment at the WVU Medicine Center for Hope and Healing. They will be part of the Comprehensive Opioid Addiction Treatment (COAT) program, which is a nationally recognized, longitudinal group-based model utilizing medications for opioid use disorder via specialized teams. They will also extend the reach of quality behavioral health treatment into rural communities using remote video-based consultation and mentorship to local providers. The team conducts groundbreaking research, including focused ultrasound, deep brain stimulation, and transcranial magnetic stimulation for substance use disorders.
