About the role
The Department of Medicine at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is seeking a highly motivated, full-time physician for a challenging Nocturnist Acute Medicine position. This dynamic role encompasses approximately 50% overnight solo coverage of our busy Emergency Department and 50% direct patient care on inpatient medical wards and post-acute units.
Responsibilities
- Cross-coverage and admissions on the inpatient medical wards
- Oversight of a high volume of patients in the post-acute, dementia, and long-term care spinal cord units
- Collaboration with advanced practice providers and resident physicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
- Flexibility and adaptability to additional responsibilities and variable shifts
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States
- Completion of residency training in an accredited core specialty program
- Board certification preferred
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an LCME or COCA accredited school
- Completed residency training in an accredited program
- Current, full and unrestricted medical license
