Location: Chicago, Illinois Business Unit: Rush Medical Group Hospital: Rush University Medical Center Department: Physical Med & Rehab Work Type: Full Time Physiatrist – Clinical Faculty/Physician Rush University Medical Center Chicago, IL Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of BC/BE Physiatrist with interventional spine fellowship training and a focus on Interventional Spine care. The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) Physiatrist with subspecialty fellowship training in Interventional Spine Care to join our expanding academic faculty. This is a dynamic hybrid role combining a robust outpatient office practice with dedicated interventional procedure time. Clinical services will be delivered across the downtown Rush University Medical Center campus, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and associated Rush Surgi-Center. As an integral part of the nationally recognized Rush Neurosciences Service Line, the incoming physiatrist will collaborate closely with world-renowned spine neurosurgeons, orthopedic spine surgeons, and a multidisciplinary care team. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive outpatient evaluation and advanced interventional treatment for patients with acute and chronic spine pain, peripheral joint disease, osteoporosis, and general musculoskeletal conditions. Interventional Procedures: Perform a high volume of fluoroscopically and ultrasound-guided spine and joint interventions within Rush Surgi-Centers and outpatient procedure suites. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner actively within the Rush Neurosciences Service Line to ensure seamless, coordinated care pathways with surgical and non-surgical colleagues. Academics & Teaching: Engage in the education, supervision, and mentorship of PM&R residents, fellows, and medical students from Rush Medical College. Research & Scholarly Activity: Contribute to the academic mission of the department through clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, or publications, leveraging Rush’s robust institutional infrastructure. Qualifications And Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency program. Successful completion of a dedicated, fellowship training program in Interventional Spine or Pain Medicine. Board Certification or Board Eligibility (BC/BE) in PM&R. Eligible for an unrestricted Illinois medical license and DEA registration. Strong commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and collaborative clinical care. Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances.
