PHYSICAL THERAPY SUPERVISOR
About the role
The Physical Therapy Supervisor is responsible for performing comprehensive initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, providing hands-on orthopedic interventions, educating patients and caregivers, monitoring patient progress, maintaining accurate documentation, communicating with referring physicians, ensuring a high standard of patient satisfaction, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and patient goals
- Provide hands-on orthopedic interventions, including:
- Therapeutic exercise
- Manual therapy techniques
- Neuromuscular re-education
- Gait and balance training
- IASTYM / Kinesiotaping
- Modalities as indicated
- Educate patients and caregivers on diagnosis, prognosis, home exercise programs, and injury prevention
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with clinic, payer, and regulatory guidelines
- Communicate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare providers
- Ensure a high standard of patient satisfaction and quality of care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
- Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and clinic initiatives as required
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current state Physical Therapy license (or eligibility for licensure)
- CPR certification and BLS
