About the role

We are currently looking for a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant on our team, you will assess, evaluate, plan, and carry out physical therapy programs to restore maximum reasonable function to our patients. You will work with patients to minimize any disability following disease, injury, or genetically acquired conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning through synthesizing evaluation data from initial patient assessment, medical history and physician orders to develop a comprehensive plan of care
  • Communicate and interact with patients, families and others in a caring, empathetic, courteous, and respectful manner
  • Receive, interpret, and implement physician orders accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Consult resources to clarify unfamiliar orders

Requirements

  • Associate in Science (A.S.) degree or Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Program
  • Experience in appropriate healthcare setting preferred
  • Current State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant License
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment

Qualifications

  • Current State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant License
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support)

Pay

The pay for this position is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This is a part-time, 20 hours/week position.
