Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) PRN, Inpatient Rehabilitation

About the role

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities.
• Sets up and uses appropriate modalities as directed by the supervising therapist.
• Seeks consultation as necessary.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient progress and goals.
• Communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Aids in patient discharge planning.
• Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.

Requirements

• Current state PTA license.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

• Attention to detail and ability to document accurately.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and patient care protocols.
