Physical Therapy Assistant PTA PRN

About the Role

Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant. This per diem role supports the rehab team by delivering treatments aligned to the plan of care and helping patients, families, and caregivers understand goals and progress.

Responsibilities

• Implement prescribed interventions and standard therapy modalities
• Monitor and communicate patient response to treatments
• Complete timely and accurate EHR documentation
• Address patient and family education needs
• Support departmental workflow and patient care assignments

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current Indiana PTA license
• NPTE certification
• Knowledge of growth and development across age groups

Skills

• EHR and computer documentation proficiency
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Tact, diplomacy, and self-motivation

Schedule

PRN coverage is needed Monday through Saturday, as required. A typical shift involves reviewing schedules and prior notes, coordinating with therapists and nursing, documenting patient visits, adjusting priorities, and ensuring a smooth handover at the end of the shift.
