Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) / Full-time

About the role

Regency Hospital - Upstate is a critical illness recovery hospital that provides world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) are integral in delivering compassionate and excellent treatment throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Transportation of patients as directed by the physical therapist (PT)
• Implementation of therapeutic exercises and functional activities as per the treatment plan
• Auxiliary role in carrying out therapeutic interventions to achieve patient's long-term goals
• Training patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices

Requirements

• Valid state PTA license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and patient care protocols

Pay

$25.00 to $40.00 per hour
