Overview

A full time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position is now available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department located in Poughkeepsie, NY. We have a dynamic therapy team including an experienced Rehab Director. Our interdisciplinary team works together to provide a comprehensive care approach. We have a mix of experienced and new therapists, diverse clinical programs, and a physiatrist who rounds in the rehab department. We also have a rehab suite designed to simulate a home environment.

Qualifications

  • Under the direction of a Rehab Director, a successful Rehab Team Leader will:
  • Provide daily oversight of rehabilitation services
  • Ensure efficient and effective operations of the facility's rehabilitation department
  • Provide therapy services to patients
  • Provide clinical support, training, and oversight of specialty programs within his/her specific discipline
  • Plan and coordinate with other facility therapists in the implementation of programs and procedures to optimize patient outcomes
  • Monitor patient admissions, schedules, MDS assessment periods, and data
  • Provide administrative supervision of therapists in the rehabilitation department
  • Be a licensed Occupational Therapist or license eligible in the state where employed
  • Have experience as a treating therapist in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting
