Physical Therapy Assistant/PTA

About the Role

Flagstar Rehab is staffing Physical Therapist Assistants for the Rehab Department in state-of-the-art Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) throughout NYC and surrounding areas. PTAs work with a diverse, multidisciplinary team to perform treatments and patient/family education, improving patients' physicality and cognition to positively impact their daily functioning.

Flagstar Rehab offers the opportunity for direct employment with the agency or the flexibility to be your own boss as an independent contractor. Assistance with setting up a corporation is available free of charge.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with PT Supervisor and follow the established Plan of Care for all patients.
• Provide quality therapy services to individuals in an SNF setting, addressing conditions such as TBI, CVA, stroke, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, cancer, orthopedic surgery, and other debilitating diagnoses.
• Monitor and document patient progress using innovative EMR software.

Requirements

• Current NYS PTA License and Registration.
• Competence with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Meets all state and federal requirements for employment in a nursing facility.
• Malpractice/liability insurance (if applicable).

Pay

Hourly pay rates:

• $34–$36 per hour (W-2 employee).
• $38–$40 per hour (1099 independent contractor).
