Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA

About the Role

Flagstar Rehab is staffing Physical Therapist Assistants for the Rehab Department in state-of-the-art Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) throughout NYC and surrounding areas. PTAs work with a diverse, multidisciplinary team to perform treatments and patient/family education, improving patients' physicality and cognition to positively impact their daily functioning.

Opportunities are available for direct employment with our agency or as an independent contractor. We can assist with setting up a corporation free-of-charge.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with PT Supervisor and follow established Plan of Care for all patients.
• Provide quality therapy services to individuals in an SNF setting for conditions such as TBI, CVA, stroke, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, cancer, orthopedic surgery, and other debilitating diagnoses.
• Monitor and document patient progress using innovative EMR software.

Requirements

• Current NYS PTA License and Registration.
• EMR competence.
• Meets all state and federal requirements for employment in a nursing facility.
• Malpractice/liability insurance (if applicable).

Pay

Hourly pay rate: $34–$36 (W-2), $38–$40 (1099).
