Physical Therapy Assistant (PRN, Days)

Role Overview

This position is for a flexible PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) providing up to 20 hours per week with weekday and potential weekend shifts. The PTA collaborates with Physical Therapists to develop and implement programs aimed at restoring or improving patients' mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans, select appropriate activities, and adjust goals in partnership with therapists and patients.
• Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
• Accurately document sessions and complete required reports.
• Adhere to ethical practices, maintain confidentiality, and comply with regulatory standards.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and proper equipment use.
• Deliver excellent customer service, foster teamwork, and promote a positive environment.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and mandatory education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and an Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licenses and certifications including PTA and BLS are required upon hire.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and ethical standards are essential.
